Characterization

Protagonist

• King Magnus   : he is the king, strong man, wise man.
• Snow white     : she is the king's daughter (princess), beautiful, friendly, patriotism.
• William            : he is snow white's close friend, handsome, strong, kind boy.
• Chris               : he is the huntsman, strong, kind boy, friendly.
• Seven Dwarfs  : they are kind dwarfs.

Antagonist

• Revanna          : she is the evil queen. brutal,
• Finn                 : he is Revanna's brother.

Setting

• The king Magnus was lead the kingdom .
• the coldest winter , one day The king was fighting in the forest against dark’s army.
• Revanna took by the king as his wife short time after, the king was celebrating his married that hold held in the kingdom.
• Big disorder after the married of the king, he kill by revanna. Everthing was taken-over by her, there were many commander and helper were died. And partly escape.
• Except the daughter’s king namely snow white that was alive, but she was prisoned since the time up to she was be mature person.
• the kingdom was not as prosperous as in the past, even worst when revanna took-over the kingdom and the nature was be dead .
• Snow white escape from revanna’s hand to dark forest. And a huntman saved her, dwarfs catch them in the way, but  they was together because them pleasure knowing that snow white was a daughter’s king who still alive.
• Snow White encountered the White Hart in the Sanctuary.
• Snow white was meeting with william in the sanctuary, they feel happy.
• Revanna poisoning snow white, snow white was dead, willian, eric, and the dwarfs was sad, they brought her to duke hammon, all society was sad.
• Snow white alive again and she would fight revanna. All of army of duke hammon walked to the kingdom.
• Snow white and her army arrived in the castle. She won the war, Revanna was died. at least, Snow white took-over the kingdom, lead the kingdom prosperously.

Plot

a.       Rising action

It was the dark atmosphere that so long time covered the castle, one day Snow white escape from the castle, she was in dark forest, revanna’s army couldn’t catch her and then they returned and report to revanna, knowing it ravanna was angry. Of course, revanna can’t use her magic there, so revanna ordered huntsman to catch snow white. But the effort useless, because revanna’s army  can’t get snow white.  At least, snow white saved by the first huntman (Eric) and they meet with dwarfs, they ware to gathering aimed duke’s hammond, snow white poisoned by ravanna in the way, revanna was died, her friends brought to the duke hammond. Suddenlty snow white alive again. In the time so snow white invite all of the duke hammon people to fight against revanna.

b.      Climax

Snow white and her army from duke hammon included the dwarfs and the huntman (Eric) and also her close friend (William) went forward to fight revanna. arrieved in the  castle gate revanna’s army was ready to shoot their meriam to snow white’s army. While snow white difficult come to the castel. At least, the dwarfs success slitther to inside castle, then they opened the gate so snow white came and fighting. Snow white came afterward revanna inside the castle, show white and revanna ware fighting, almost snow white died, but she can stuck a sharp knife to ravanna and then revanna die.

c.       Falling action

Revanna was die, snow white Took-over the kingdom after she passed the dark days and long story was done. helped by a huntsman (Eric) and his close friend (William), the dwarfs, and all society she could broke Revanna. she was be first heir, became a queen, lead the kingdom peacefully. She married with William, and the kingdom rise again prosperously.

Advantages and disadvantages novel

After I celebrated the novel I have  an observation, I got the point even the novel has advantages and disadvantages. The following are my observation.

    Novel excellence

• Snow white and the huntsman novel is awesome novel because, the novel contained an imagination sense, the rider will be find a sense peacefulness, luxurious, authority, politic, oppression, romanticism patriotism, victory. these are frame in our imagination.
• The novel is very interesting, moreover the novel also presented  in movie. Almost all of people knowing  it. And the novel was become sell in demand.

           Weakness Novel

• The novel is difficult to understand because the sentences contained difficult narrative and figurative language, and most of the words were not daily expression, caused the reader confuse read it.

My Response

Snow white is a good novel, in this case I really interest read this novel, as we known that snow white and the huntsman is one of novel that rises in 2012, every know before we watch the movie of snow white and huntsman or  read the novel, we known that snow white and Seven Dwarfs was famous in the public by animated cartoon, it was precede the novel or the movie of snow white and huntsman, the substance of the both are similar, although the title not same but in the both story was contained same event. The difference is how the story was performance. In the novel we can find a value of theory. Such as, romance, luxurious, social, etc.
